As of May 8, 2024, the latest software update 2.31.1 for TrueKinetix is now available for all TrueBikes and TrueTrainers. This software update includes the support for BLE Buttons and improvements to our app. In the following article, you will find more information about these updates and instructions on how to install the new software on your TrueBike or TrueTrainer.
What has been improved for the TrueBike and TrueTrainer?
- Support in the software for BLE Buttons.
Better display of software updates in the TrueKinetix app.
Fixed problem with popup from external program (zwift etc.).
Important: do not shut down the TrueBike or TrueTrainer prematurely during the update and wait for it to shut down completely (by itself).
How to get started:
TrueBike:
- Turn on the TrueBike
If connected to WiFi, it will retrieve the updates and immediately ask to install the update package
Press 'yes' to install the update immediately
If you press 'no', it will be installed during the shutdown of the bike``. - After installation, you can check if the update was successful as follows:
Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS > VERSIONS on the bike and check that the version of TBController is at 2.31.1, then the software is installed correctly.
TrueTrainer:
- Turn on the TrueTrainer.
- If connected to WiFi, it will retrieve the updates
- Shut down the trainer by holding the black button for 3 seconds or using the app to shut down the trainer (once the LEDs start flashing white you can release the button)
- The updates will be installed
After the installation, you can check if the update was successful in the following way:
When you connect via the app to your trainer, check in SETUP > DEVICE INFO if the Software Version is set to 2.31.1. Then the software was installed correctly

Why are my TrueBike and TrueTrainer downloading multiple updates?
- This software update consists of multiple files that must be downloaded to update your trainer.
The software update lags, what should I do?
